Where to eat a Packed Lunch

We had a great walk in the river valley, Klevad Mose.
The bog always offers a wonderful natural experience.
There is a nice rest house at Klevad Enge. Here we ate our packed lunch and enjoyed the view across the meadows to blossoming bird cherry trees.
It’s a lovely experience ❤️

Happy walk and remember your packed lunch ❤️

Spring in the Danish Switzerland

Never Skip a Meal

I found myself out on a long walk, a sudden impulse. It may well have something to do with spring.
There was a problem though, I was out of energy.
I checked my backpack. And my excitement was overwhelming when I found a light brown banana, a piece of rye bread from the day before and a forgotten energy bar for dessert.
It was like visiting a Michelin restaurant, metaphorically speaking.
You just have to be hungry enough!
Don’t worry about my health, I usually empty my backpack after I’ve been on a walk 😊

Never forget your packed lunch!

Emeralds in the Forest Floor

It has been years since I have been to this part of the forest. But a few days ago, the light was so clear, the sky so blue and the air so good that the day had to be used to the maximum.

The beautiful sunlit green moss lay in clusters around the tree roots, highlighting the paradox of a snowy forest floor.

Beautiful, but wet ☔

On the weather radar, the rain looked like a fist. We just got home before the rain poured down.

A Cracking Walk Today

Today is wonderfully mild weather with hazy sun.

Still, few snow-covered paths were reminiscent of the sudden unexpected snowfall last night. In an instant, everything was white, but just as quickly replaced by rain and darkness.

Lovely steep paths and the local train

When the sun shines hot and ..

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:  when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”

Calm Before the Storm

The Silence of Nature on a Spring Evening.

The path winds between lakes. Sky hastingly changing colour. A swan moves through the water looking for bread?
I realize I’m not breathing. I want to remember the sounds of nature.
The mournful whistle of the Bullfinch. Ducks chatter quietly. Tit birds are chirping high up in the trees.
The sounds of nature on a spring evening.

The trail that never ends

Maybe we’ll have snow next week. At the moment, it’s a lovely spring. People are enjoying the outdoors and the sun.
Years ago I was on a great walk at Sjaelssoe.
Steep hills, small springs, pastures, winding paths and a wooden pier for ‘happy swimmers’.
The temperature varied a lot depending on whether I was in the woods or on the sunny meadow.
It was bitterly cold in the wood by the springs, and the lake didn’t beckon for a swim, on the contrary. But the walk was worth remembering ❤
