One thing you have to do

Find your own special hideaway
A meadow where swallows are practising on their long flight to Africa
A faerie forest where you can go for a walk and get lost among elves
A cove by the sea where you can go for a late night swim
A secret cave where you can seek shelter for the storm
Or a lovely lake where you can catch a fish for your dinner
The possibilities are endless and the only limit is your imagination

Wise Words From The Bear

“When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,” said Piglet at last, “what’s the first thing you say to yourself?” “What’s for breakfast?” said Pooh. “What do you say, Piglet?” “I say, I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today?” said Piglet. Pooh nodded thoughtfully. “It’s the same thing,” he said.”

The enchanted lake

This year, nature is more beautiful than ever.
Today I came past the lake, Hjortekæret which some of you might recognise again.
The light changes a lot, which makes the lake a lovely motif.
The lake is a popular destination for some walkers.
Children might fantasise while the adults enjoy the tranquillity.

All you can do is to go –

But it isn’t easy, said Pooh. Because poetry and hums aren’t things which you get, they’re things which get you.
And all you can do is to go where they can find you.

A.A. Milne, Creator of Winnie the Pooh

An elongated sound?

Can a sound be elongated?
The forest pigeons sound like a regiment of soldiers when there are more than three.
The blackbird is phenomenal in causing noise when searching for food.
But I recognise the grass snake by a sound that goes on and on.
Depending on its size 😊
We also had the great pleasure of meeting the very cosy ‘Salamander Team’ ❤

A Medieval ruin, A Tunnel System and a Tinker

The party was at 17 o’clock. We can take a walk in the area before our arrival.
My suggestion was based on the fact that “The adventure is waiting for anyone who understands to grab it.” ¹
Knud Rasmussens adventures were great, but small adventures also have their time on Earth especially when time is short 🙂
It was not a sleigh ride on Greenland, an experience Knud Rasmussen would have preferred, but a hike at an old castle tower and through a tunnel system formed by the last ice age.

My Walk in The Shire

Sing all ye joyful, now sing all together!
The wind’s in the tree-top, the wind’s in the heather;
The stars are in blossom, the moon is in flower,
And bright are the windows of night in her tower.Dance all ye joyful, now dance all together!
Soft is the grass, and let foot be like feather!
The river is silver, the shadows are fleeting;
Merry is May-time, and merry our meeting.Sigh no more pine, till the wind of the morn!
Fall Moon! Dark be the land!
Hush! Hush! Oak, ash and thorn!
Hushed by all water, till dawn is at hand!

The Small Uncaring Ways

Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute,
day by dragging day, in all the thousand small uncaring ways.
Stephen Vincent Benet

No wasted minutes on this icy cold spring day.
The lapwing cries and makes spectacular patterns in the air.
The horses play tag and roll in the dust.
It’s an outstanding day 🙂

The flowers of late winter and early spring occupy places in our hearts well out of proportion to their size.
