The deer are lying in the grass. People are free and enjoying a walk in the sun.
A sea eagle circles high above, but disappear in the absence of prey.
Fantastic day after a Christmas with dark clouds and rain. The chill factor is minus 1 degree. I think about how much the factor is when cycling. But there’s no reason to dwell on the cold, so I rush off to be sheltered by the woods 😊
People were queuing in parks, woods, everywhere.
All the houses stood back empty.
The sun was shining, and the air was warm.
The buzzards circled high above. Children flew kites on the meadow, and the skylark flew singing over my head for the first time this year.
Some girls directed their horses through the shallow water into the lake but one of the riders came too far out.
The horse sank in, and so did the rider. The horse was gasping for air and the girls squealed.
First in fright and later in laughter, as everything went well.
And then I ask you again: Do ducks smile?
Last Sunday the meteorologists had predicted sunshine, only interrupted by heavy rain with a touch of hail and snow showers.
We hurried off to the forest.
Here at the clay pit we saw the sun shine for a minimum of thirty minutes.
But lovely while it lasted 🙂
