“Cold be hand and heart and bone
and cold be sleep under stone
never more to wake on stony bed
never, till the Sun fails and the Moon is dead
In the black wind the stars shall die
and still be gold here let them lie
till the Dark Lord lifts his hand
over dead sea and withered land.” *

Such glorious images.❤️
Ali, I’m happy to receive such a compliment!! It is a unique sight to move through the autumn landscapes. Everything is changed, and yet the same. Leaf fall intensifies and transparency increases. New spaces appear, everything gets brighter at the same time as the day gets shorter.
In fact, it’s brilliant 😊🙌❤️
All the best,
Hanna

Thank you, Lynette!! A churchyard can be very interesting in all sorts of way 🙂🎃🍁🍂
Happy Halloween, Hanna! A most apropos post!
Thank you, Ab!
Happy Halloween to you too 🎃🍁🍂
I think Bilbo and Frodo would particularly like, or be afraid of, the twisted, knotty tree, Hanna. It’s my fav. Happy Halloween. – Curt
Oh! I know exactly what you mean. It becomes one of those trials where they are overcome by fatigue and the tree ends up swallowing them because they are leaning against the gnarled trunk.
Happy Halloween, Curt !!! 🍂🍁👀🎃
Great job, Hanna, especially the moon through the dark tree branches!
Thank you, Robert. There is something special about drifting clouds and a full moon. It create an exquisite atmosphere, I think 🍁😵💫🍂🎃
Happy Halloween!!
🍂🍂🍂😊 The very same to you too 🎃
That is beautifully done Hanna! Gloomy and yet rich. Tolkiens words match the images perfectly. The angel with the torch! The mysterious white cabin in foggy green.
Thank you very much, Peter. I think some churchyards are nice to visit. While others fuel my imagination. I once sought shelter in a churchyards, but it got so creepy that the thunder and lightning became a tiny little detail 👻👻👻😊😊
I know many stories about churchyards 😨🎃
Happy Halloween, Peter!!
