We went into the forest on a very hot day looking for shade.
No rain of significance for three and a half months. Most green areas are withered and yellow.
To my surprise we found pleasant coolness and green lushness.
A fresh breeze came in on top of Fruebjerg and gave impression of being close to the sea, although the sea is about twenty kilometers away.

Looks like a really nice place, Hanna
Hi Mitza. It’s a wonderful big old forest ❤ 🙂
Must have been wonderfully refreshing! The same dryness here, and longing for lushness.
It was refreshing and optimistic at the same time, Leya. A joyful experience ❤
I had the same experience hiking through a wooden area in the Taunus Mountains. I was amazed to see green grass again and feel the coolness on my skin.
Thanks for that story! Lushness is outstanding ❤
Yes. It is.
What a beautiful oasis of green
Thanks a lot, George. I hadn’t imagined Scandinavia being affected by drought, as has happened this year. It was a comfort to visit the big old forest and experience lushness again.
Fortunately for us, Mother Nature has some reserves-up to a point. May we never go past this point!
Those are wise words, Tanja ❤
