  1. What a nice bycicle tour, Hanna. It seems really enjoyable, and your photos show us some real spectacular views. I’m certain you deserve the green jersey. Demand it! 🙂

    • Hi Carlos, I’m so happy for your support. I will send a complaint to UCI. I’m sure they have made a mistake not delivering the jersey. I can feel it in my legs! 😛
      All the best,
      Hanna

      • PS They don’t have to play the national anthem, or offer me a podium, I just want my green jersey 🙂

  2. En terrængående cykel, med 2 hjulstræk…? ‘hehehe’

      Mange hilsner,
      Hanna

  3. Such a beautiful looking walk, the last two photos are really wonderful, thanks for taking us with you on your journey Hanna

    • Thank you so much, Seonaid. I love to follow your beautiful walks too. There is a delightful level of detail and light in your pictures.
      All the best,
      Hanna

    • Thank you, Camelia. The trail is very varied and every turn arouse my curiosity and that is my way to forget fatigue.
      All the best,
      Hanna

      Mange hilsner,
      Hanna

  4. It seems to me that this would be a nice overnight trip in the cooler months. Thanks for alerting me to the Rudersdalruten.

    • Hi Roger, thank you for your contribution concerning overnight sites. It would be an extremely beautiful hike over a couple of days. It’s just to choose between the various campsites offered for hikers.
      All the best,
      Hanna

  5. That looks like the perfect place to ride a bike, Hanna. No Alpine sections, just pleasant rolling countryside.
    Cheers, Alen

    • That’s a good way to put it, Alen, a pleasant Rolling Countryside. There are no alpine sections, though the trail is much like the forest described here: ‘The main characteristic of Rude Skov is the dramatic terrain with frequent changes between steep hills and hollows – filled with lakes and marshes.’

Some part of the trail, Rudersdalruten is in the same area as the UCI World Championships Route 2011.

And as a bonus you get this hair-raising but true story about the forest: The trail winds its way through this fascinating beautiful forest, where there are several kettle holes. Here horses are drowned, never to be found again.
Forester in the area had previously seen examples of the kind of holes consists of two feet of water and then 15 meters “bottomless” mud.
A married couple was in the forest to pick mushrooms. The woman steps out on a thick bed of leaves and did not suspect the little hollow, because there were many trees.

She went into an invisible death trap but her husband succeeded to save her by holding in the surrounding trees while she still had head above water. It’s recommended to stay on the path 🙂

      All the best,
      Hanna
