“The journey is the goal”.
This is how the waterfall path in Krimml is presented, and the path is indeed a goal in itself.
Stunning views and enjoyable exercise.
Krimml Waterfalls has a drop of 380 meters and is located in the National Park Hohe Tauern, Austria, near the border to Italy.
We had a wonderful climb along the waterfalls years ago and ended in a beautiful mountain valley with flowers all over.

It was a birthday present to my friend. The hike in Austria. I was responsible for the logistics. The train ride was with a sleeper, a return trip Copenhagen – Munich.
To be honest, it was a bit tiring to find available hotels, checking time tables, get a solid map so we didn’t lost our way in the mountains etc.
At a point I decided for myself that I needed some relaxation before returning to a busy everyday life.
So I let go of the attention to time and timetables. Only for a couple of days or so. That’s all!
But on the train ride home towards Munich my friend suddenly asks me what date it is.
Would you like to check the tickets, I ask.
I’m aware! We lost the train in Munich, we are a day late.
As a whole the trip was a success, and I will write one more post from that summer.
I got the inspiration to this post from Steve Hindley:
ACROSS THE RIVER, TO ANOTHER WORLD
Today is International Mountain Day 2016 ❤
This picture is from Austria, Krimml.
This region will always stay on my bucket list.
Even after several attempts to uncheck it.
