Slowly the west reaches for clothes of new colors
which it passes to a row of ancient trees. You look,
and soon these two worlds both leave you,
one part climbs toward heaven, one sinks to earth,
leaving you, not really belonging to either,
not so hopelessly dark as that house that is silent,
not so unswervingly given to the eternal as
that thing that turns to a star each night and climbs-
leaving you (it is impossible to untangle the threads) your own life,
timid and standing high and growing, so that, sometimes blocked in,
sometimes reaching out, one moment your life is a stone in you, and the next, a star.
by Rainer Maria Rilke
Translated by Robert Bly

You really made me a great joy to take a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke. I love his poems, they are so beautiful and fit perfectly with the foto. Have a nice day, kind regards Mitza
Mitza, I really enjoy Rainer Maria Rilke. Thanks a lot!!
All the best,
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Hanna! Wonderful shot and RM Rilke is always a favourite. Reently I spent a week in Worpswede where he was a part of “the family” of artists living there. Have a lovely 2.advent. x
Hej Hanne. I truly enjoyed your words!! I’m really happy with your bonus info about Worpswede ❤
Wish you an outstanding week.
Be a poet still in photography. Hanna, you captured a really beautiful moment. The golden hour is one of the best to enjoy the whole nature color palette. And the combination of nature, a shimmering water surface, the sun in the background and Rilke´s poem is perfect.
Have a wonderful weekend.
What a beautiful description of my post, Stefan.
I do not want to ruin your comment with meaningless words.
Thank you so much,
