There is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.
The Wind in the Willows, by Kenneth Grahame
I’ve been to the northernmost point of Sealand, Gilleleje.
When I arrived the sun was shining, and relaxed people walked about, enjoying the hustle and bustle with ships being repaired, fishermen arranging their nets and some people preparing for supper in their boats. A wonderful cozy atmosphere dwelt over the place.
Messing about in boats – I can recommend that.

Beautiful photos Hannah – unfortunately I am 70 miles from the sea 😦 But I would mess about in boats all day if I could 🙂
Thanks a lot, James. People are generally drawn to harbours and to the sea. Seldom boring 🙂
I luv your pics & I adore Wind In The Willows! ❤
Resa! Thanks for keep me going 🙂 ❤
Precioso y refrescante paseo danés para aliviarnos de los calores veraniegos españoles 😉
Un abrazo y buen finde, Hanna ❤
Me haces reír, Magnoliae. Del alivio danesa 🙂 Más por venir: La próxima semana brisa fresca y 16 grados.
Feliz fin de semana para ti ❤
Hanna
Blue and Red look so great at the seaside!
It is very thankful motifs, and a joy to be there at the same time 🙂
El Jadida, on your blog. I looked in Google Map: The Google car hadn’t been in the city, but there were photos of the beach, wow !!…and the cistern ❤
That sounds like a fantastic idea, a beautiful day, and an excellent piece of summer to enjoy while it’s here and remember once it’s cold again. And great photos as always!
I find small active fishing harbours very special. While working with many occupations related to the harbour, the atmosphere is wonderful, especially on a summer day with a fresh breeze 🙂
Thank you!!!
Great pictures; love the blue’s
Thanks a lot, Ash.
Lovely images, Hanna. I like the idea of messing about in boats but I don’t know the first thing about them – despite working in a shipyard for eight years. The sea can be very romantic, but also intimidating at times and very dangerous. Kenneth Grahame catches to allure of boats and water perfectly.
Regards, Alen
I’ve messed with boats since I was a little girl. It’s a kind of meditation. You can swing a brush, eat an ice cream and scoop rain water. When you get older, you can enjoy an ice cream and wash it down with a beer while you swing the brush 🙂
That kind of meditation is highly recommended. Apart from that I don’t know much about boats either though I love to sail 🙂
That sounds like a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
It certainly is 🙂
Look at all that glorious blue!! Beautiful images, as always, Hanna …
Thanks a lot, Heather. It was such a pleasure to be there 🙂
