Copenhagens Waterfront

Copenhagen has an extremely entertaining water front. I have been to a Lucia procession at Holmens Kanal one winter where Kayak Republic was the organizer.
Saturday I was in Copenhagen and the sun got the Danes to invade everything that could sail. To freshen up my story I borrowed some pictures from another year when people went bananas. The air is still a little to cold to drop the shirt.

I love Copenhagen and the water surrounding it. It cools the city down and make people happy.

The pictures are from the center of Copenhagen

Oh! I nearly forgot to tell you something very important. Red Bull Cliffdiving is coming to town 20. June and that is very entertaining too. You can see my post here from the last exiting time: Cliff Divers

  1. To be traveling across the city on boat and enjoy the breeze that comes from it, I’d so love it 🙂

    • It is very enjoyable and there are lots of opportunities. You can rent all sort of boats or you can go by water taxi or water bus. I think it is great. The water in the harbour is so clean that you can drink i…? Nope, not yet 😀 but lots of swimming areas are available for those who want to go for a swim also. I hope you get the chance, Andy 🙂

      • mmmm! I’d definitely rent a boat and just glide along the sides of the street, it would be perfection indeed 🙂

      • I can very well understand you. I find the noiseless boats most attractive and with most style 🙂 🙂

  2. Copenhagen is a colourful city! The presence of water (river, lake, sea, ocean) in cityscape makes it even more beautiful.

  3. Hanna now you really are rubbing it in! This is what I’m missing! For about 3 years I lived in London & being close to the river & the sea is such an uplifting environment, you are connected to both ends of the source & to the world!

    • You are absolutely right, Ash. It really is such a lovely environment and it always add a certain form of energy to the experience of the city.
I once stood on the captains bridge when one of the big ferries for Norwegian left the harbour. We could watch The Royal Residence Amalienborg and the beautiful surroundings the view were stunning (more salt) 😀 No! Seriously there are lots of places that are loveable.
      All the best,
      Hanna

  4. I had no idea that the centre of Copenhagan was so colourful and beautiful! I think I like the picture of the two deck chairs best because I would like the opportunity to sit there, relax and enjoy the scenery. Your photos are lovely as always. I’m enjoying learning about the other side of the world. You have many beautiful places. 🙂

    • Jane, your world on the other side of mother earth is quite amazing too. The nature is really stunning and so are you photos ❤
There are many possibilities to enjoy and relax on a sunny day in Copenhagen. Many places to just sit and watch the colourful life.
I have been on a walk in the inner part of Copenhagen where archaeologists have made interesting excavations associated with a metro construction.
It always fascinate me to imagine how the streets have appeared around the establishment of the city.
I have plans to make a post about it 🙂
      All the best,
      Hanna

    • Dear Barbara. Thank you so much for visiting my Copenhagen ❤
Big hug coming your way 🙂
      All the best,
      Hanna

      Hanna

  6. Copenhagen looks like a wonderful city, Hanna. Your pictures make me want to jump on a plane and fly there right now.
    Alen

    • Copenhagen is a cosy city, Alen. There is always something funny going on and you are able to find places to relax at the same time. The waterfront do the trick ❤
You want to jump on a plane and visit Copenhagen after seeing my pictures? You once told me that I should be Minister of Tourism because I was such a great ambassador. Now I think you are right ❤ 🙂 🙂
      All the best,
      Hanna
