Blow Blow Thou Winter Wind

  1. I’ve seen your winter on tv! Real winter indeed! We had a tiny bit of snow and some days of night frost, but that is gone already. Maybe next week we’ll have some (wet) snow. Enjoy your winter Hanna!

    • Thanks for that, Peter. Perhaps you have seen the report from northern Jutland. It was snow chaos with military vehicles that were out to assist. It ended up that they also needed help to be pulled free.
We had wonderful snowy landscapes too but without to much chaos 😎😊
In the southern part of Denmark, just 150 km away, it was raining. This meant big lakes where there used to be no water. A real serious chaos. The ground was saturated with water ahead, so the heavy rainfall could not get away. Some highways were closed indefinitely.
I hope you’ll get some ‘dry snow’, Peter 😊☃️

“The Danish weather varies a lot because Denmark lies in the westerly wind belt, which is characterized by fronts and low pressure and changeable weather. At the same time, we live on the edge of the European continent, where there are cold winters and hot summers.*DMI.DK” / Danish Meteorological Institute

    • Thanks a lot!! I think it’s handled okay where I live. But Jutland has been badly affected. Right now the snow has started to melt, and then the water damage occurs. On Monday, frost and snow will return and then it will be slippery 😅
We’d better put on our spiked shoes.
I hope you get a beautiful snowy landscape under good conditions ☃️❤️

      • We get little snow where I live but I expect a smattering at some point during the week. Will be worse on high ground and probably on the other side of the Pennines

  2. We had our first snowfall last night. It’s not my favourite season but it sure produces such beautiful scenery. That photo you shared is lovely.

    • Thanks a lot!! Enjoy it, Ab. You can sit with a hot cup of tea and watch the snow light up everywhere ❤️❤️
      All the best,
      Hanna

  3. Dear Hanna
we hope for real winter weather as well. It’s forecasted for next week but here at the coast we hardly ever have some snow. What a pity!
Your picture radiates nice winter weather – we are envious 😦
    Wishing you a happy weekend

    • Thanks Klaus!! Don’t be envious 😃
Freshly fallen clean snow is one of the most beautiful things you can imagine.
I hope you wake up one morning and find out that it has been snowing all night ❤️
      Happy weekend to you all!!!!
      Hanna
