A flower of purest white,
Floating upon the lake,
A delicate and fragile sight,
Yet strong and unafraid.

Its petals open wide,
To greet the morning sun,
And close at night to hide,
From the darkness and the cold.

A symbol of beauty and grace,
The white water lily,
A reminder that even in the darkest of places,
There is always hope.

Lovely
What lovely flowers, and what a lovely, hopeful poem, Hanna. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Tanja. It is like getting a reward when I see water lilies. They are beautiful and pure in their expression.
It is not surprising that so many stories exist about them.
“They have leaves that can carry animals on the water, amazing flowers that reveal unexpected beauty, and then they have a stem that connects the beauty to the mud, the bottom and the dark deep.” Johs. Nørregaard Frandsen
All the best,
Hanna

I loved reading though this post, Hanna. And looking at the pictures. Such beautiful photos. Nature is so amazing in how these delicate flowers close up at night. Every time I see them I am always so enthralled by them. Thank you for sharing.
