You’ve probably experienced it. A place you never got visited. Not because it was difficult to access, or required great preparations, but because it was something you could do when the opportunity presented itself. It did so yesterday.
I was passing by on my way home, as so often before and I decided to pay a visit to the lake, Gentofte Sø which is located near the highway. That is probably the reason why I unconsciously opted out the place until now.
The noise from the highway is significant in some places but the experience of the area was still a surprise.
The lake was greater than I expected and certain places gave the impression of great wild nature. I have never had anything against that experience except in bad weather and without shelter.
It turns out that there is a very high biodiversity in spite of the highway and only 8 km to Copenhagen. It was marked by Felis Catus, who sneaked trough the grass the great diversity also applies to the birds…
I got curious and followed the great hunter. When I found him the expression was not to be mistaken: It said SCRAM! You are messing up my food delivery.
Happy summer hiking ❤
God tur i sommerlandet ❤

🙂 Great shots, Hanna! Of course the one of the hunter is fabulous… my fave! 🙂
Hi Resa. Cats are magnificent animals. Fun wise and always ready for the Olympic Games 🙂 🙂
It’s always a pleasure to read your posts, Hanna. I’m happy to hear about the high biodiversity. I am also surprised by how much I find near busy roads! It looks like a beautifully clean and lush area. Brilliant pictures as always. 🙂
Jane! Always happy to hear from you 🙂
It’s interesting about the high biodiversity. I will dig into data about that. Seems that population density generates high biodiversity. Though I have to check up on that allegation 🙂 🙂
Happy weekend to you,
Hanna
Amazing photos! You’re lucky to find a hidden gem.
Thank you, Aye. It’s great to hear from you. It’s the fun and rewarding thing by exploring.
New stories and new wilderness you never knew existed 🙂 ❤
All the best,
Hanna
Thank you, Hanna, for sharing your hiking trip inclusive the hunter 🙂 I still know those places. It is a beautiful photo set. Especially the Felis Catus image is great captured.
Have a great weekend
Stefan
They don’t like their photograph taken as McEff express himself and I certainly caught the hunter in the moment he was watching the birds 🙂 🙂
Wish you a great weekend too, Stefan,
Hanna
Lovely Hanna – and I love the ginger pussy cat 🙂
The cat is very popular on the blog, James. It might have pleased it 🙂 🙂 Thanks!!!!
Muchas gracias, Magnoliae. Los gatos son exaltados seres 🙂
Gorgeous & so is the hunter!
Yes, he is, I have no doubt that he is very competent also 🙂
The trouble with cats is they don’t appreciate having their pictures taken. If it could see itself on here in these beautiful photographs it might be a bit more sociable in future.
Regards, Alen
I could get the picture framed and hung in a tree by the lake. Maybe it would make the cat smile, but it would reduce the diversity of birds.
Thanks for that nice remark, Alen. It certainly made me smile 🙂
Hanna
Once again it’s raining here! But once again you cheer me up with your wonderful pictures. Happiness is………………………….a post from Hanna!
You make me laugh, Ash! I can tell you that people are wearing their winter outerwear but mind you it doesn’t rain at the moment 😀
Beautiful captures…! 😊
Thanks a lot, Andy 🙂
😊😊
Hanna
Tack detsamma, Hanna!
❤ 🙂
It happens pretty often when you go somewhere faraway to find interesting places and do not discover the beautiful places close by.
Have a nice weekend!
It is so true. You have to keep your eyes open wherever you go 🙂
The best weekend to you too!!
Hanna
I would not guess it is located near to highway! beautiful place, Hanna!
Hi Indah. It really was a nice surprice. My spirit goes high when I make discovery of that kind. The water is relative clean in the lake and the municipality is now working to protect the environment further to the delight of those who live up the area including all species 🙂
Happy weekend,
Hanna
