The door was shut, as doors should be …

The door was shut, as doors should be,
 Before you went to bed last night;
Yet Jack Frost has got in, you see,
 And left your window silver white.

He must have waited till you slept;
 And not a single word he spoke,
But pencilled o’er the panes and crept
 Away again before you woke…

    • I don’t expect him to walk in your olive groves, Alen. Jack Frost has uncannily much to do in North America ⛄🛷⛷ 😁

    • Hi Peter. I think the scenes could be part of a Christmas movie for children. Cute houses, train and tractor, snow and colours 😊
      Thanks!!!

    • It’s a lovely neighbourhood with a lot of industrial history linked to the river’s several mills.
      Fortunately, many buildings have been preserved and restored, giving the neighbourhood a unique charm, along with the river and the beautiful nature it runs through.
      Thanks a lot, Montucky!!

  1. I love the little glimpses of color in your images here, Hanna! Especially that last shot — after a visit from Jack Frost, even a train crossing can look festive! 🙂

    • In fact the train crossing is one of my favourite motives especially when small pillows of snow are clinging to the colourful warning signs 😊
      Thanks, Heide!!
