Though wind may blow and rain may fall…

Farewell we call to hearth and hall!
Though wind may blow and rain may fall.
We must away ere the break of day.
Far over wood and mountain tall.

By J.R.R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings

It’s time to wander!

    • Thanks a lot for that, Alen. When the sun is coming out from behind a cloud, the trees shine like a treasure of gold and jewels being revealed all of a sudden by Indiana Jones himself 🙂
      It’s an outstanding nature scenario!

  1. What a glorious wander you had, Hanna! I love that first photo especially, with the call of the open road. As Tolkien said, “Not all who wander are lost.” 🙂

    • It was an incomparable walk, Heide. I love the variation in hills, forests and meadows – and yes, Tolkien also has my undivided love ❤ 🙂

    • Thanks for that wish, Tanja. Only a week or two is left due to rainfall and windy weather. Looking forward to that for reasons that you know of 🙂 Water in lakes and streams.
Happy walking to you too ❤

  2. The colors of Autumn are so splendid! We had those colors in Michigan where I grew up. Not so much in California, but still some.

    • Hi Fred. This area is rare due to the large variety of trees. I always enjoy a walk here. Thanks for your comment!!

      • New England has the best color in the US although there are many placed with good color. California is too dry in most places and many of our trees turn brownish yellow.

      • Thanks for the information, Fred. It’s interesting to see how trees are coping with different climate.
