The silence of snow

There are strange and mysterious sounds
When the winds of winter blow,
The long nights are crystal clear and cold,
And the fields and meadows are covered with snow.
The stars are frosty against the sky,
And the wind’s whistle is shrill,
As the snow blows against the house
And drifts against the hill.
Yet, I like to see during the winter
A white carpet on the ground,
To plod aimlessly in the deep snow,
where deer tracks abound.
I like to feel the stillness
Of a crisp winter’s night,
Watching a full moon rise over the horizon,
Exposing a winter wonderland beautiful and bright.

If possible, pack your lunch and go out into the wild.
Enjoy nature and leave only your footprints behind ❤

    • Hi Montucky. I love the light and silence that the snow brings with it.
      All the best,

  1. I love to walk and enjoy the outdoors. We very rarely get snow where i live. You can take me for a walk in the snow anytime.

    • You should have been with me one day we started out our walk in black frost. As we walked into the woods, it began to snow. The further we went, the whiter the woods.
It’s years back now but the magic will always stay with me.
      All the best,

  2. That’s what it’s all about Hanna. The walk of life. Keep walking in nature. There’s nothing better for your spirit. There’s nothing more real, than to be who you are. 🙂

    • I like your words and appreciate your point of view. I’ve been addicted to nature for some time now 🙂 🙂
Thanks a lot for your comment!
      All the best,
