“Cold be hand and heart and bone
and cold be sleep under stone
never more to wake on stony bed
never, till the Sun fails and the Moon is dead
In the black wind the stars shall die
and still be gold here let them lie
till the Dark Lord lifts his hand
over dead sea and withered land.”
J.R.R. Tolkien

Me encanta el poema de Tolkien. Las fotos son muy sugerentes para ilustrar el tema, y ¡qué decir de los árboles otoñales! Son una maravilla de color. Buen finde amiga. 🙂
Tolkien is something very special. His universe offers everything a good story should contain.
The motives are from an old churchyard in Copenhagen. Twilight had been optimally 🙂
Wishing you a lovely new week, Magnoliae.
All the best,
Hanna
Excellent quote and the photos are so atmospheric! Gorgeous colours and moods here. Happy Halloween to you too, Hanna. 🙂
Thank you so much, Jane. Fortunately we are still alive after a nice walk in the churchyard. It also goes well with the sofa and the spiders 🙂
I hope yours are feeling great as well. Remarkable spiders you have in Australia 🙂
All the best,
Hanna
Hi Leo. I remember we have talked about churchyards before this post. Life comes into perspective confronted with death. It’s a great place to reflect and set new goals. In this way churchyards inspire me.
The photos are from an old churchyard in Copenhagen established in the year 1760. A number of celebrities are buried here, among them, Hans Christian Andersen.
We had a stroll yesterday and the weather was beautiful. The sun stands low these days and the warmth light is delightful in the leaves of autumn.
I wish you a happy new week 🙂
All the best,
Hanna
Happy Halloween for you, Hana. Wow!! Beautifully composed pictures.
Muchas gracias, Isabel. La luz era increíble en el cementerio y hermosos motivos en todas partes.
Un fuerte abrazo 🙂
Hanna
I love Tolkien, his amazing world and all his characters !
When I end the books of Tolkien I always comfort myself that this is not the end of the fairytale but the start of a new beginning. I’ll always love the heroes in that amazing universe.
All the best,
Hanna
Beautiful words Hanna !
Thank you!!!
Hanna, me has hecho coger miedo.
Cheers
Haha! Yes, they do! I have lived in a house on a former churchyard 😯 🙂
OMG!!! You found wher the Hobbits live!
🙂 🙂
Great pictures. I love that twisted tree. It obviously has a tortured spirit.
Alen
Maybe you are right about the spirit, Alen.
It would certainly be a mess, if you cut a wand from the tree. Perhaps the wrong objects were hit because it would be impossible to aim, and the spirit would probably have its own agenda 🙂 🙂
